Barn Rules
Barn Hours: 8AM to 8PM Tuesday-Sunday. The arenas are closed on Monday.
No smoking in or near the barn under any circumstances!
Release forms must be signed before riding or handling horses, unsupervised riding is done at riders
own risk.
No parking by the indoor arena, please use the designated parking area.
All children must be supervised at all times on the farm, in the barns and lake areas. There also is
NO running up and down the stairs, in the lounge, or throughout the barn.
Riders must wear ASTM/SEI approved helmets at all times.
Proper footwear or closed shoes must be worn when riding/working with horses.
No turn out or feeding by owner. Children are not allowed in the fields without permission.
Management should be notified if someone is caring for your horse when you are away.
Please keep the barn and isle clean of tack, etc. for the safety of horses and the appearance of the facility.
Please keep the wash stall clean and clean up after your own horse. This is for sanitary reasons, as well as common courtesy.
Please be sure to put all your tack and items back where they belong.
When entering the indoor arena please announce the word “DOOR” loudly and wait for an OK to enter.
After riding all school horse bits must be washed off before being put away and your leathers “run up” correctly.
No chewing gum EVER while riding! There is a HUGE risk of choking!
When riding with multiple people in the ring be sure to remember proper Riding Etiquette.
~Always pay attention while riding.
~Be sure to call “inside” or “outside” in advance.
~Left knee to left knee if you are going the same pace
~The horse with the faster pace gets the rail.
~Be respectful of the lessons as they are being taught
